Stop Motion of My Own Little World on Pay It Forward Day

EHK789HZ5XGD

Today is the Second Annual "Pay It Forward Day," an event started by David Del Mundo over a cup of coffee...literally.  As I'm writing this blog post, over 600,000 people have committed to do a random act of kindness today.  I love that this is sweeping Facebook as people express a dedication to doing something nice for others without any expectation of return.

In an online world where ROI is the buzzword (buzz acronym?) of the year, it's great to know that not everything needs to have a WIIFM attached.*

So I thought it was appropriate that this video popped up in my Facebook News Feed today. (Thanks to Tamara Walker, MomRN, for sharing!)  I invite you to watch as a creative and talented 15 year old girl shares her message.  Set to Christian Music artist Matthew West's My Own Little World, this stop motion video is one girl's heart to remind us that we all have the power to make a difference everyday...just by remembering to step outside of ourselves.

Whether it is through an event created on Facebook, a video shared on YouTube, a blog post by girl from Scottsdale...we all need a reminder from time to time that life is better for all when we're living an "Others Focused" life.

Until Next Time,
Jacki

*For the Acronym-Impaired:
ROI=Return on Investment
WIIFM=What's In It For Me
